Wicked Easter

This year our Easter was Wicked awesome! All lame puns aside, we got tickets to go see Wicked at the Capital Theater. It was so good. All the cast members were amazing. I really think Elphaba sounded just like Idina Menzel, the original Broadway Elphaba. And Galinda was so funny. She sounded a lot like the original, Kristin Chenoweth, but her acting was a little like a cross between Amy Poehler and Molly Shannon. She was amazing. We were laughing so hard.
When we first got the tickets for Wicked we were just scrambling to get anything we could, it was only a few weeks later when we realized it was going to be on Easter Sunday. What to do, what to do? Sell the tickets? No, we went, and I am so glad we did.

One of my favorite parts of Easter is all the little girls in their Easter dresses. I was so sad that I was going to miss it. My parents so graciously offered to watch the girls, and take them to church in their lovely Easter dresses. They looked so pretty.

Ruby got this little glow worm in her Easter basket. She loves it

Molly's favorite treat in her Easter basket was the fake fingernails. She has been wanting them forever. Every time we walk past them at the store she asks for them. The Easter Bunny did not disappoint.

Here are the kiddos in their beautiful Easter Dresses. I didn't get a good picture of it, but this is how I did Molly's hair. It was so cute.

Here's how Ruby's hair was done. So cute.

A little Easter egg hunt finished off the day.

Pictures of Ruby

We had our friend Derek take some pictures of Ruby. Normally my kids warm right up to Derek. Not so much this time. But I still think he got some cute pictures of her. Check them out on his photo blog here.

The Zoo!

We are experiencing some serious Spring Fever here. I am going crazy being stuck inside the house. We're all starting to feel a little better, and last week teased us a little with a few days in the 60s. It was wonderful. So, we packed up our lunch and our friends and went to the zoo.

Look at her crazy kokopeli shadow. This was caught mid-jump off the elephant's trunk.

Molly was trying to be brave on the Merry Go Round. It scared the crap out of her.

Molly and Jack loved these things.

Ruby's Birthday Party

Ruby turned 1 on February 23. Here's some pictures from her "Butterfly" party. She wasn't feeling so hot that day, so she was kind of grumpy. Thank you everyone for coming to the party and for the gifts.

Happy Birthday Rubenstein!

One year ago today Ruby Wednesday Bybee was born. She was the sweetest little thing with the biggest, bluest eyes. After four months of screaming most of the time she mellowed out and became a very happy baby. She got fat so fast, it was crazy how big she was. I think she's starting to normal out. Anyway, we love this kid. Happy Birthday little Rube!
Here's a year's worth of pictures.

Piggies and Chompers

Ruby's first piggies. And her enormous front teeth. They kill me. I love it.

You may be wondering about the state of Ruby's face. She has a scrape under her eye from a lotion bottle she was trying to eat. And she has a staph infection around her mouth and nose. So, that's why she looks like she's been in a fight.
