Ruby Turns 2!

Ruby turned 2 last week. She had a Storybook party and received tons of fun books from her family. She had so much fun at her party and was showing off like crazy with all her friends around. Here's her cake. Ruby is so silly. She loves dressing up, reading books, doing anything her sister does, and sleeping in her big girl bed.

Ruby's Big Girl Bed

Last night we turned Ruby's crib into a big girl bed.
This is what I found when I checked on them later that night.

Apparently she doesn't like her big girl bed.

The Happiest Place On Earth

Hello. Long time, no see. Back in October we went to Disneyland. Words do not express how much fun Disneyland is. The girls loved it, Marc and I loved it, so fun. Here are some pictures of our trip. We spent some time at Huntington Beach. Had ice cream at Ruby's Diner on the pier, played in the water, and built sand castles. I love the beach.
Molly loved the ocean. We didn't bring our swimming suits because I'm a moron, but we got a little wet anyway.

Ruby giving me a big cheese.

The Haunted Mansion was all Nighmare Before Christmased out. It was pretty cool.

One of the many, many, Carousel rides we took.

Disneyland!

The kids and some of their cousins. We went to Disneyland with Marc's family. Everyone was there. It was so fun.

One morning we went to Goofy's Kitchen for a Character Breakfast. This is where Molly spent most of the time. She hid under the table whenever anyone came around. She was scared to death of all the characters. The only one she wanted to see was Cinderella.

And this is how Ruby spent the Character Breakfast. She kept saying, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" So funny.

And finally, the moment arrived. Cinderella!!! I don't think anyone will think this video is as cute as I do. It was done on Marc's cell phone and it was pretty noisy, but I love how cute Cinderella was. She was perfect. Molly was showing her her own Cinderella dress, twirling, totally made paying for the Character Breakfast worth it, even if she did spend the rest of the morning under a table.

The kiddos at California Adventure

We stayed in the "castle" hotel. Molly loved this lion.

The kids and some of their cousins.

Classic.

Molly and Ruby NOT enjoying their visit with Tinkerbell. Although, after we left they were obsessed with her for the rest of the day.

Ruby's favorite ride, Dumbo.

Another carousel ride.

Our hotel room.
And that's it. I want to go back. . . now.

All the way to Disneyland. . .

And we're back. Disneyland was so fun. Pictures to follow. Here's the most common conversation from the youngest little nugget in the back seat: Ruby: Mom
Me: What
Ruby: Mom
Me: What?
Ruby: MOM!
Me: WHAT?!
Ruby: Stinks!. . . Dad
Marc: What?
Ruby: Dad
Marc: What!?!
Ruby: DAD!

. . .and so on. You get the idea.

Doobs

This kid has more nicknames than fat rolls on her thighs. She is now 18 months old. Here's what Ruby is all about:

Weight: 23 lbs 14 oz (44%)
Height: 32 in (81%)
She loves giving hugs and kisses, abolutely adores her Grandpa (just mention him and she'll freak out and start looking around for him), likes reading books, can say almost 50 words, pulls hair and bites, is very silly, likes riding in her car and jumping on the tramp, still has two enormous two front teeth that, thankfully, her face is growing into, is an absolute fish when it comes to playing in the water, has numerous nicknames, Ruby Doobey, Doobs, Boobs, Reuben, Reubenstien, Steiner, Booby, Roob, Doobey Doo, Captain Fatty, and lots of others that come flying out when she's about to do something crazy. We love her.

Happy Birthday Molly!

4 years ago I became a Mom. One of the most wonderful days of my life. Yesterday was Molly's birthday. We celebrated by having a birthday party with friends and family. It was so fun. As a four year old Molly has had like three haircuts her entire life (her hair does not grow), enjoys reading books, can recognize and "read" 6 or 7 words by sight, can write her name, sometimes spells her name Mooooolllllly so that she can have her letter family (See below regarding families), loves her little sister Ruby, loves chewing on her little sister's feet (I know, it's weird), loves helping me set the table, makes "families" of anything and everything- cups, spoons, shoes, pictures of sheep, dead flowers, anything. . . , she loves her Sunbeam class and her teachers, Sister Wilson and Sister Chappell, keeps us laughing with her wicked dance moves, keeps us cringing with her spit and vinegar attitude, and keeps us loving her with her zany, loving personality. We love being parents to this little wackadoodle. We love you Molly! Happy Birthday!

For the record: Height 41.5 inches (84%)

Weight 36 lbs (59%)
